Anjali A , M.Tech. (Optoelectronics and Laser Technology) student 2018-20, has been offered admission to the Ph.D. programme at GANIL, Caen, France as part of LISA project with a EC Marie Sklodowska - Curie Fellowship. LISA (Laser Ionisation and Spectroscopy of the Actinides) is a 4 - year Marie Sklodowska - Curie Innovative Training Network (ITN) for the career development of 15 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs). We wish her a successful academic career !

Ajmal C J, M.Tech. (Optoelectronics and Laser Technology) student 2018-20, has been granted admission to the Programme for Pre doctoral students at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven , Belgium. The position is for the development of optical instrument for neuroscience research, as part of the SENSEI project which is a partnering project of the Human Brain Project (HBP) . He has travelled to Belgium and has joined for Programme on October 12, 2020. We wish him all the best !
Athulya Krishnan M B, Integrated M.Sc. (Photonics) student 2015-20, has been selected for Ph.D. at Laboratoire Lumière, Matière et Interfaces (LUMIn), École normale supérieure Paris - Saclay, University Paris - Saclay, France. She has traveled to France and joined for Ph.D. on October 01, 2020. We wish her all the best !
Pramitha P Kamath, Ninth Semester Integrated M.Sc. (Photonics) student, has been selected for the Charpak Master Scholarship Programme 2020 of the Embassy of France in India. She has joined as an exchange Student in the International Programme in Optical Communications (Master of Science in Photonics) at ENSSAT, France, as per the MoU established between International School of Photonics , CUSAT and ENSSAT / RENNES 1, France.
Ben John, Integrated M.Sc.(Photonics) 2015-20 Batch student, has joined for Ph.D. at Nonlinear Interfacial Spectroscopy Group, Fritz-Haber-Institut de Max-Plank-Gesellschaft, Berlin, Germany. He is currently working on a project on Investigation of structures and dynamics of molecular species at interfaces using ultrafast nonlinear spectroscopic techniques. We wish him a successful academic career ahead !

The use of “light” is reshaping our world. Recent advances in photonics for communications, imaging, health care and medicine, defence, optics and electronics have all contributed to spectacular new applications in every corner of our lives. And it is not going to stop. Photonics companies, which supply optical components, systems and software, are growing spectacularly.
Since its founding in 1995, the International School of Photonics has grown to become one of the flagship, known for the excellence of its teaching, its research, and its service to national and international communities. International School of Photonics is the only Institute in India which offers an opening in core photonic technology immediately after higher secondary studies. ISP currently has more than 180 students of whom 100 are M.Sc ( 5 year Integrated), 36 are M.Tech (Optoelectronics and Laser Technology), 40 are PhD students and 4 Post Doctoral Fellows.
