M. Kailasnath took his M.Sc. in Physics from Maharaja’s College and M.Tech. Opto electronics and Laser Technology from CUSAT and joined Cochin University as a lecturer in 2001.He received his Ph.D. in Photonics from Cochin University and currently works as a Professor at International School of Photonics, CUSAT. He is currently the Dean, Faculty of Technology, CUSAT and the Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. He has produced 10 Ph.D.’s and published over 90 research papers in international journals in the field of Lasers, Optical fibers and Photonic Materials. He had been a Post Doctoral Fellow in the University of Texas, USA, a Visiting Scientist at the Tampere University of Technology, Finland and Robert Gordon University, UK. He is a member of Optical Society of America (OSA), International society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE) , an executive member of Photonics Society of India (PSI) and a life member of Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT)
