The Syndicate at its meeting held on 18.09.2020 vide Item No. 679.19 in exercise of the powers conferred under Sub Clause (xx) of the Clause 18 of CUSAT Act 1986 (Act 31 of 1986), read with Statute 158 of Cochin University First Statutes 1980, considered and resolved to authorize the Vice Chancellor to reconstitute the Board of Studies in Photonics under the Faculty of Technology and to nominate two members from the Board of Studies to the Faculty of Technology.
The Vice-Chancellor has accordingly reconstituted the Board of Studies in Photonics and as per Statute 95 of Cochin University First Statutes 1980 has nominated two members from this Board to the Faculty of Technology as in appendix.
The term of appointment of the members of the Board of Studies shall be 4 years with effect from 05.01.2021 (date of orders of Vice-Chancellor) as per Statutes 159 of Cochin University First Statutes, 1980.
ln exercise of the powers conferred under Statute 161 of Cochin University First Statutes 1980, the Vice-Chancellor has nominated Dr. M Kailasnath, Professor, International School of Photonics, CUSAT as the Chairman of the Board of Studies for a period of 4 years with effect from 05.01.2021
